Techno Dreamscape (Finished) - 3.81 MB
First full song I made. Just experimented with fade-in/fade-out, as well as combining instruments. I don't like it much anymore, but only because I've worked on it the longest.
Techno Dreamscape (unfinished) - 2.09 MB
I forget what this sounds like, but it's somewhere between first starting and finally finishing the song. Don't fully have all patters/effects set in.
Guitar Stuff - 0.88 MB
I experimented with a different sound using newly acquired instruments (notably, guitars). However, due to the sound of the available guitars, this sounds kinda gothic. I was trying to go for a LoFi - Battle Flag/"suspense fleeing from an unknown" (combining both fear of unknown, and power through confidence and stealth).
New Works - 0.57 MB
Back to techno, I experimented this time with cross-fade instead of fade-in/fade-out. More specifically: cross-fade as a function of the song's time (lined up with beats). Kinda pleased with the outcome, just not really diggin' the lasers that fire. Eventually forgot where I was going with this.
New Techno Arpeggio - 0.50 MB
Whilst listening to Digitally Imported trance/techno music for the past couple days, I started to recognize a pattern...an arpeggio pattern. So, instead of going to bed, I threw this together. I like it very much in deed (except for where the arpeggio starts the loop again at the end, tying into the beginning). More to come on this.
Updated New Works - 0.48 MB
I forgot about the cross-fade in this one. Removed the lasers initially to see how it sounds (and I liked it upon listening to it just now). Not digging the vocals though. And the snare needs different pitch/melody. But I like the primary sound and the bass tune in the background.
Techno Song - 0.48 MB
Practically same thing as above except minus the variable pitch instrument and the vocals. Intro sounds like Outkast - The Way You Move. I think this one came first. I might pick this one up where I left off and do some more to create a soul song or something.
Summertime Fun - 0.46 MB
I just stumbled across this whilst messing with a modified melody I made and trying it out on some different instruments. Didn't know what to call it, but it sounded warm and up-beat, and summer was the first thing that came to mind, followed by fun. Not digging the arpeggio portions, but I like the slow, long notes in the background, and then when they stop and it's just lone chord by itself.
Techno Song (minus) - 0.35 MB
Virtually same thing as Techno Song, except without the snare. Has a cross-fading laser every other shot. No vocals...I actually kinda like this one (just need to get rid of the lasers now).
Daffodil Lament (music box) - 0.25 MB
The chord from The Cranberries - Daffodil Lament that I like. Experimented with a bunch of different instruments, this was one I liked in particular. Only thing I don't like about this one is the echo (might be considered by some to be the 2nd beat) is slightly off. Due to my bad hearing, cannot determine whether I need to speed up or slow down the echo 1/4th or 1/8th a beat. I'll just experiment as I go.
Daffodil Lament (bellarina) - 0.25 MB
The chord from The Cranberries - Daffodil Lament that I like. Experimented with a bunch of different instruments, this was the other one I liked in particular. Only thing I don't like about this one is the sound of the organ in the background compared to the harp-like sound in the foreground (echo of the organ when finished too). Of the two, I like this one better because my original plan was to mix it with that one chord from "Requiem for a Dream" and this fits that dark/mysterious atmosphere (yet contrasts it dark mood with a euphonic tone).
